My Story

As a kid I was always drawing and painting and into crafts in general. One day my friend and I were hanging out at her house and her mom came out of her craft room and started making jewelry out of the beads from the bead shop she worked at. I immediately found interest in it. she taught me how to make a bracelet and I loved every bit of it even though the bracelet was too small even for a baby. from then on I spent years collecting beads from gifts and buying them myself. I first started making bracelets for me and my friends but I eventually grew out of wearing bracelets myself. Then one day I saw my friend selling stuff on an app so I thought I could post and sell my bracelets. it was slow at first but eventually started selling. I then got into making and selling earrings, rings, and necklaces.

I then found interest in crocheting my freshmen year of highschool. Before my classes start we had free time and I decided to go to the classroom that does crocheting. I knew nothing about crochet but seeing the projects the other students were working on and how beautiful they were inspired me to learn. The teacher tried teaching me two different times but I couldn’t grasp it so I took matters in my own hands. I went home asked my parents for yarn and a hook and tried to make a blanket out of cheap black yarn from the local supermarket after watching several tutorials online. I learned the basic knots but still couldn’t get the right tension and didnt want to count my stitches. after 3 frustrating tries I gave up on the blanket but noticed my friends birthday was coming up and as always had to make them a gift. I decided I was going to crochet them their favorite animal, a penguin, and make them some bracelets in their favorite color. surprisingly the penguin was present worthy despite the lack of eyes and found my love for crochet. From then on ive been experimenting with different types of yarns and yarn thicknesses, hook sizes, and types of projects. ive tried making blankets as you know from my failed attempt, clothes, plushies, accessories, and home decor. after months of back and forth I realized making plushies, accessories and decor were my thing and since then have crocheted whenever I get inspiration or really any chance I get.

I continued crochet plushies mostly from making all my friends Christmas presents, birthday presents for friends and family, and mothers day/fathers day gifts. All had flaws, some better than others but everyone loved their gifts and nothing makes me happier than being able to brighten up someones day especially with something I made.
